How much investment will Science City in New Sparta Yield?

  12th September 2011

Before reading on please note, the communal benefits to all investors, plus please note than any investment over $4B will be collected yearly, Banking & Transport for instance will pay $4B per year for 4 years, easily within their margin, for many just three months profit.

Big 16 Cities.

1. Real Estate & Land Development.

The Opportunities for Real Estate and Land Development are excellent, from Real Estate agents wishing to use S-World Virtual World, Social Networking agents, the Software, the opportunity to sell Real Estate in New Sparta, and advising on the House Price Index.

As for land Developers, well, there’s a lot of Land to develop.

As for construction, in an optimum scenario, we are looking at $200 Billion Construction contracts, plus the opportunity to advise on the building price Index.

16 different companies.

$1B - 4km $1B - 4km $1B - 4km $1B - 4km = $4B - 16km
$2B - 8km $2B - 8km $2B - 8km $2B - 8km = $8B - 32km
$4B - 16km $4B - 16km $4B - 16km $4B - 16km = $16B - 64km
$8B - 32km $8B - 32km $8B - 32km $8B - 32km = $38B - 128km
        = $60B - 240 km

Land is 50% cheaper than Oil City HPI (House Price Index), as there’s not a lot of beachfront plots, this said all have mountain views.

2. Oil City

Oil companies have the chance to become pioneering alternate energy companies, with 28.2Km of industrial land, to start manufacturing wind and hydro turbines and other energy efficient goods.

These companies will see huge orders from both New Sparta and Greece; it should not take long to be competitive in general exports, especially when we make some scientific advances in this area.

Networking opportunities, not just in Oil City and Science City but with the countries in North Sparta (Each Country is given 1sq km.)

The first km figure is land in Oil City, the second km figure is industrial land, a deliberate sliding scale of less land per investment occurs, specifically to make the first phase investment particularly appealing.

3. Music, Publishing, Advertising, PR & Press

Even before music downloads, most bands and singers did not make their money from selling records or CD’s, rather they made their money from music publishing. Back in the UK in 1997 a 30 second clip of a friend’s band made him $80,000, and in 2003 a 30 second clip from “Rock around the clock” generated $30,000 in South Africa.

As a rule, it’s the Advertising and PR companies that choose which songs get used in commercials, and so it makes a lot of sense having all four industries in the same place. Please also notice that Music City is placed next to Film City, and in nine out of 10 cases the music in films and TV series produces in Film City will have to come from Music City.

Estimating the amount of money that can be generated is not easy, unlike Oil companies there are not companies that have easy access to $32 Billion odd to spare.

The other factor to consider is that much like Film City, Music city is good PR for New Sparta and “The Spartan Theory” in general.

If we keep the price to a fixed $4B per 25% then in comparison to most other cities, every plot and house would be considered a bargain, add to that the general desire for people to live near music stars I feel confident by mainly selling individual houses not chunks of land, we will achieve the $12B target if for no other reason than for the real estate appreciation.

4. Film, TV, Media, Adverting, PR & Press

Much in the same way as Music City is in general good PR for New Sparta & Give Half Back so is film and TV. Like Music City I have also included, Advertising, PR and Press.

However the PR value of Film’s and TV series is far higher than music and as such, it makes sense for all of the money raised from Film City to go directly back to the industry

5. Finance, Banking, Insurance.

If we look at what we are trying to achieve from the financial software, in the travel industry, multiply that by all the other industries, add all businesses in Greece, then consider other countries we wish to quickly incorporate, there is a very strong argument that the four companies that buy land in New Sparta, Finance City will become the future of Global Banking and finance in general.

As such, I believe it possible to raise the same amount of capital as Oil City, without giving away extra development land, rather just give shops and offices away throughout New Sparta.

The figure after the km is the amount of offices and shops given away in other New Sparta locations, please remember as well as the 16 New Sparta Science Cities, 1km sq is given to every country, and as such the financial institution that pays the $32B has a shop or office in each location.

6. Transport

As soon as the infrastructure is in place (maybe 3 years), all fuel cars will be banned from New Sparta. Add the intention to build roads across Greece with power points to recharge electric cars and the further intention to follow this pattern across Europe and we’re looking at a lot of Cars.

All car manufacturers will be able to benefit freely from all technological advances made in New Sparta, and car manufacturers that bid to join New Sparta will become the future of automotive transport across Europe.
Even without Greece and Europe we are looking at an order of 2 Million cars over 4 years.

Electric cars already have a range of between 40 & 100 Miles, and can be charged from a household electricity point. With 93% of all journeys being under 25 miles, by 2017 orders seem near endless.

It would make a lot of sense logistically for only European car manufacturers to apply. Currently I’d suggest 3 car manufacturers and 1 mass transit manufacturer win the land, technology and contracts

The first figure is land in Auto City; the second is industrial land to build factories.

7. Agriculture

The idea to include agriculture is more scientific than profit, improving farming in general. In an attempt to lower meat dependence, id like to offer free fruit and vegetables, to all citizens of New Sparta, and if possible across the whole of Greece. Specific supermarkets will become supply points, and of course if one is going to a supermarket to pick up their free fruit and veg they will probably do their shopping their, and as such supermarkets have good reason to bid for contracts, alongside existing food suppliers.

Most likely we will be looking at a consortium of 16, and to be safe, I’ll say just $1B each, for 2km’s of Fruit City and 4km’s of farm land.

8. Manufacturing

With one city part dedicated to improvements in robotics, and all cities in general working to make new technological discoveries, manufacturing has lots to gain.

A rule that 90% of all goods manufactured must come from New Sparta manufacturers gives further incentives
In general the mass orders of furniture and electrical appliances from New Sparta will make products price competitive in other countries.

The Chinese and Far East companies in general will see great benefits in investing.
The first figure is land in Manu City; the second is industrial land to build factories.

9. Flight

There are two major advantages for aviation besides the obvious advances in technology, for aeroplanes seeing as New Sparta is intended to be an international state of sorts, I hope aeroplanes should be able to use New Sparta as a pit stop of sorts, UK to New Sparta then on to South Africa for example. Of course when new cities are built in other countries this advantage increases.

For Space Flight, the creation of a large scale international Space Station is very much on the agenda, at first consideration this may seem like a waist of money. I however see this as a common goal to unite and excite the people. A man or woman helping to build New Sparta when asked “What are you doing” can happily say “I’m helping to defend the planet”. Even if Aliens never arrive, at some point a whopping great big asteroid is going to be dealt with, like they say in the cub scouts “Always be prepared”. Never underestimate the power of a common goal to unite the people. As well never underestimate the power of a common enemy to further unite the people.

You will note I have assigned 50% of all Flight City money to this goal. New Sparta is on similar latitude to Houston so I’m sure launches can be made, each launch a sign of progress and pride for every citizen on New Sparta.

10. Electrical

Electrical companies will share industrial land with manufacturing, and considering the scientific advances and tax status. New Sparta will become a powerful supplier of electrical goods to Europe, Africa and The Middle East.
The desired advances in robotics, whilst aimed at aiding Space Ventures will become incredibly useful in construction and manufacturing.

11. S-World, Internet & Social Networking

In travel alone we have shown profit for facebook of $8.5 Billion a year in 2017, for the sake of caution this figure is half of the true estimate. (Note this includes $17Billlion for “Give Half Back” and a further $8.5 Billion for the Travel consortium “Experience Travel”)

The travel projection also relies on the financial and CRM software, so I’ll split the difference 50/50. $4.25 B profit made from Travel in 2017. It has also been highlighted that similar profits can be achieved for other industries.

The general idea is that the result of our combined efforts creates the next evolution of the internet as a networking tool, as opposed to mainly a referencing tool.

Facebook and Google are essential partners and as such could command free entrance, but obviously not the usual land quota. I’d hope as they, more than any other companies have the most to gain, will pay a token $4B each, they are after all receiving land and buildings worth more than $4B

One thing’s for sure, there are a lot of other internet companies that will see benefit in not only the networking opportunities but also the technological advances that have been created and will be created.

So for this example I’ll use an open pricing structure based on intellectual necessity and land purchases, the ratio to be decided at a later date, but adding up to $32B

      = $32B 64km

12. Software

As explained in the above internet and social networking example, residual money for the software consortium from travel is $4.25B a year by 2017, and further income made from other sectors.

The software consortium has considerable further potential, to work in all industries and all economies. Without doubt, Greece will welcome our suggestion to have all Greek companies using our financial and CRM software as a way to calculate tax, (Greece currently estimates it is loosing $30B a year from tax evasion.) Further to this, the software will completely run New Sparta and I see no reason why Greece would not welcome this technology in all administrative government spending.

And so, there is a strong argument that the software will become industry standard in many corporate and governmental financial, administration and networking systems.

13. Travel & Tourism

This entire business plan was based around travel, and then adapted to other industries. There are many valid arguments that the future of Global Travel will belong to companies that are a part of the S-World travel plans.
Of course anyone in travel will appreciate the tourism value of New Sparta itself.

And by including individual venue owners in small share purchases and so individual buildings in Travel City, a vast host of Travel related venues will appear across the City, so making the city one of the most popular tourism destinations in the world.

Considering we are dealing with land owners I’d expect to achieve the same investment as the bigger industries at $64B with property largely sold individually, but for safety I’ll half it.

        = $32B 64kkm

25% returned for infrastructure and factory building.

        $16B

14. Mining, Precious stones and Metals

Large orders for metal will be needed for the construction of New Sparta, as for mining, the research into robotic mining will be priceless when practical results are achieved.

Networking opportunities in general, both on line, via business networking software and just person to person in New Sparta will be of benefit

For both precious metals and precious stones, shops will be given throughout New Sparta, in the same fashion as banks.

        $32B

15. Pharmaceuticals

The general idea for pharmaceutical companies is to create alternate medicines, and distribute them freely to citizens of New Sparta and Greece.

A point in example is Seroquel, for some an anti psychotic, for other’s simply the only non addictive sleeping pill, but at $6 a pill there’s a lot of people that really need Seroquel who simply can’t afford it. This is ridiculous, if it stops people from going nuts, it should be free, and one cant patent anti psychotic’s just the chemical formulas of the pills. So a billion or so spent on making an alternate pill, would surely make a valid alternative.

The target is to increase psychiatry, so every citizen of New Sparta is assessed and medicated when necessary, hence the term “The Happy Worker”

Once created, companies can happily sell these medicines to other countries at reasonable rates.

All money raised from investment in this sector will go back into this sector, half in research.

The bigger picture of course is the promise of free medicines to citizens of other countries; this will make those countries very interested in working with us and create new republics

16. Computers
Computer manufacturers will benefit enormously by the new advances in science right across New Sparta.

Orders of two or three million a year are likely for New Sparta.

Like manufacturing, transport and agriculture, computer manufacturers are given industrial land to build factories, given the no tax status for both companies and employees, and brand new factories, It’s possible to undercut computer manufacturers across Europe.
